My SX4 freezes and sometimes has no audio
Our SX4 has freezing issues. It will play something for 30 seconds to a minute and then will freeze. It will repeat this over and over. We do defrag and restart the computer at least twice a week and this still is occurs.
We also have had video and no audio and when we re-start the SX4 the audio comes back. I'm more concerned about the freezing issue because it causes issues with our produers

The first thing I need to ask, is what version of cablecast are you running? Your problems sound familiar, and there was a free update to all SX Customers.

Lets make sure your running Cablecast 4.8. You can find your cablecast version by clicking on the "About" menu in the upper right hand corner of cablecast.

I'm really sorry about the frustration. The good news is, as Ray mentioned, the issues you're describing should be fixed by upgrading to Cablecast 4.8. This is a free update from Cablecast 4.7, regardless of whether you have a current System Assurance plan.
To get the update, send an email to support@trms.com. It would probably be helpful if you include a link to this discussion so they can have a bit of background info as well.
