TogglDesktop on OSX: several problems
Toggl Desktop 2.5 on OSX loads the entire website instead of one of the timers.
The first thing that comes up is a login screen that includes all sorts of other things:
Logging in here just brings me to the standard Toggl login screen:
Which in turn brings me to the website:
This is accompanied by several other problems:
- The earlier version of TogglDesktop that I was using will not sync (or I would use it instead).
- The Desktop "version" of the website is putting odd borders around every image that has a mouseover effect.
- The OSX dock icon no longer changes to indicate whether the timer is currently running. Since it is running right now, this should be red:
- The "Remember Me" feature is again not working.

Inappropriate? It appears that new Nano breaks Toggl Desktop. Please change your settings back to the old Nano on My Settings page. We're working on a fix.
We did several rewrites to Toggl Desktop in January, sadly these resulted in instability. There will be a new version with serveral fixes on 17th February. Most probably even earlier. -
Inappropriate? Thanks. I've reverted to the old Nano as you recommended and it has not fixed the issue. I've also cleared the Toggl Desktop cache and reinstalled Toggl Desktop, to no effect. I'll leave my settings on 'old nano' until the release on the 17th, but is there an older version of desktop that will function until then?
I've noticed that whenever I have difficulty w/ Desktop it coincides with a new release. Forgive my ignorance of the related programming difficulties, but when you are making improvements to Toggl is it possible to keep the server side of things backward-compatible with one or two 'stable' versions of Desktop? -
The older version I requested is no longer necessary. I've used the URL for the pop-out timer to roll my own widget for now, and the downsides are all minor (though offline access will be missed). -
Inappropriate? We have found a solution to this problem and the fix will be available on Monday. I'll let you know!

Inappropriate?Chris, here is a link for the new Toggl Desktop 2.5.1:
http://download.toggl.com/toggldeskto...
You can use the new Nano with it (by selecting it from the system tray menu). It also has the "remember me" fix in it.
It has "beta" in its name because it is not public yet. As soon as we are sure that the "remember me" feature and the new Nano work nicely, we'll make the new version public.
Let me know!
Thank you. -
Looks great! Thank you! Nova works, although the start/stop button still has the odd jagged border. That does not matter; all the function is back. -
Inappropriate?A new version (2.5.1) has been launched. Everybody, who are experiencing the same problem, please upgrade:
