Price increase took eleven hours?
I tried to purchase Pastebot this morning at 9am UK time. It was £1.19. 11 hours of trying later, and the app is now £1.79. I'm not happy that an app I have been trying to buy for ELEVEN hours has now increased in price by 50%. Why did it take ELEVEN HOURS to change the price?!
I don't see why I should be FORCED to pay an increased price when I attempted to purchase it at the original price. For eleven hours today the price was £1.19 and I couldn't buy it. The moment the price increased I'm suddenly able to buy it. Smacks of greed.

Sorry for the troubles. It's actually not our fault at all. Our app was on sale for 1 week. We clearly labeled this in the description. The price only went up 1/3, not 1/2. We also announced on twitter early that the sale would end soon.
The 11 hours that no one was able to purchase Pastebot for was just a problem with the iTunes Store. We have no control over that. As frustrating as it might be for you to have to wait 11 hours and pay 1/3 extra, we lost a lot of money because of this issue. We worked very hard for 6 months to produce this app so we are very grateful for your purchase. Happy Holidays!

Inappropriate?Regardless of whose fault it was, it was advertised at £1.19 and iTunes would not let me buy it. Given that you lost sales on this - including a sale to me - I suggest you complain to Apple. Things like this really don't give people a good impression of either Apple or your company.
(By the way, 50% of £1.19 = £0.59. Add the two and you get the next price tier, £1.79.)
I’m still frustrated

You should complain to Apple. Complaining to Tapbots is like yelling at the Chef because the waiter screwed up your bill. -
Inappropriate?Dude, it's £1.79, get over it. It's well known there are a lot of problems with the AppStore, I'm even surprised the wonderful guys from TapBots still continue to make such great iPhone apps...
It's Christmas, I'm sure you have better things to do than to complain about 60 cents.
I’m amused

Yes, but it was advertised at £1.19 on iTunes, and iTunes would not let me buy it. Would you prefer to pay £1.19 for something or £1.79, given the price it is advertised at is £1.19? -
Inappropriate?@darkpawuk Just echoing Mark's comments... this is entirely an iTunes/Apple issue. If you have a problem with it, you should take it up with them.
There's absolutely nothing Tapbots could have done to handle this situation better. -
Inappropriate?C'mon you guys that are blaming Tapbots, please understand that Mark or Paul has no control over the things that go on in Apple. This isn't the first time such a problem has occurred. Give a little credit and a break to the people who make iPhone apps that you could be proud to own. It isn't their fault in the first place.

Inappropriate?@darkpawuk: Think about what Software you can buy for a mac or a windows computer for the same price! Pastebot is worth every penny
