I wanted to let you know that I'm in the process of checking with the team to see what our plans are for Amazon payments. I should have an answer for you by tomorrow at the latest.
I’m hopeful for Amazonian support as well.

Inappropriate?Amazon payments support is something we'll most likely have at some point down the road, but it's currently not high on our priority list. That could certainly change if demand for it increases, but at this point, it's on our radar as something we'll implement someday.
We're adding more traditional payment gateways as they're requested but the "offsite" payment systems like Amazon take more work to implement and haven't yet trickled to the top of our list yet.

Inappropriate?So, would PayPal also be considered "offsite", because I realize Spreedly offers that. Just wondering. I also realize that I was perhaps a bit too vague in my request. I think I should have been asking specifically for support of Amazon Flexible Payments service:

Inappropriate?Yup. I'd consider PayPal express to be an offsite option. FPS is something we'd like to support, but it's a non-trivial implementation. Does Amazon offer another payment option besides FPS?
Long term, we'd like to give our customers the ability to use any gateway or payment system out there. Shorter term, we've been going after some low hanging fruit by implementing the gateways our customers request which are on the active merchant list: http://activemerchant.rubyforge.org/
