It would be great to be able to create 'sticky' posts that are highlighted and stay at the top of your soup for however many days you specify.

The feature you propose is not planned for now, but within the next months we'll be adding several ways for you to take more control over the layout and content of your Soup. Sorry that this sounds so vague, we'll give more details when we get closer to the launch :) But I think that'll solve the underlying issue you're having.
