zalary replied on January 05, 2010 01:11 to the question "Facebook button on blog" in Six Apart:
Subscribers on an Pro plan can add an image to the sidebar using the Embed HTML widget option.
First, you'll upload the image to your account. Go to Library > File Manager. In the right sidebar there's a place to Upload a New File. Once the image is uploaded, the page will refresh, and you'll see the file listed on the left side. Click the Filename. Copy the URL from the address bar.
You can find some nice Facebook buttons at:
http://www.justinparks.com/facebook-b...
Paste the URL you copied into the Notes section. It should look something like this:
http://example.typepad.com/image.jpg
Change it to this:
<img src="http://example.typepad.com/image.jpg" />
To link the image to another site, you would add the link code, so the final result would look something like:
<a href="http://typepad.com"> <img src="http://example.typepad.com/image.jpg" /></a>
You can find more information on this at:
http://help.sixapart.com/tp/us/sideba...
We hope this helps. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you.
Thanks,
Zalary

zalary replied on January 05, 2010 00:53 to the question "HELP! I'm having an identity crisis." in Six Apart:
Hi Tracey,
Each TypePad accounts includes a Profile address be used as an OpenID or as a commenting profile on Blogger.
In order to use your TypePad account in this way, you'll want to log in and set up your your TypePad Profile details and set the Profile URL
http://www.typepad.com/profile/edit
Once you choose that and save your changes, you should be all set and can then use
http://profiles.typepad.com/[profilen...
to comment on Blogger blogs or as an openid login for other sites.
On Blogger, make sure to choose TypePad from the dropdown and type only your Profile name, like:
http://zalary.typepad.com/blogger-typ...
Right now there is an issue with the comment listing a long number string instead of your display name, but we're working on getting that resolved soon. The comment URL will still link to your Profile though, so everyone will be able to see that it was you who left the comment :)
