A comment on the problem "Can't get JC to register comp after update, says wrong config" in Jolicloud:
Thanks Zak. I confirm this should fix L.W.'s issue. My Jolicloud needs the Jolicloud version of XulRunner to run properly. – Romain Huet, on March 03, 2010 14:24

Thanks Radman,
This seems pretty good to me. You have the latest production version of all the software, your issue is not related to that.
So you have performed the complete update from the Alpha to the Pre-Beta? I assume you got the new themes on the OS, starting with the splash screen?
We haven't been able to reproduce your issue, but I found something interesting in the Mozilla community. Could you please try the following in a Terminal:
$ sudo xulrunner-1.9.1 --register-global
Let us know if it is of any help.
Best,
Romain

Hello M_Ordinateur,
Have you updated your Jolicloud by clicking on "Update all" on your Dashboard?
If the problem persists even with an up-to-date system, please try to right-click on the orange arrows icon in the taskbar and cancel the pending actions. Then, could you tell us if you can install applications on your computer again?
Thanks!
Romain Huet replied on February 11, 2010 00:57 to the question "Problem re-entering Spotify username/password" in Jolicloud:
Hello,
We have just released a new version of our Spotify application to include the latest release of the Spotify program. This will fix the update issue that some of you have encountered during the past few days.
The workaround Cedric gave just above is working but should no longer be necessary after updating the Spotify application.
Thanks!

Romain Huet replied on January 19, 2010 00:59 to the question "where can I get the source code of Jolicloud?" in Jolicloud:
Hello,
Jolicloud is still in active development but several components of the OS will eventually be open source.
MrOrigo, to answer precisely your question, here is what the Jolicloud Daemon is doing:
- it manages your authentication to Jolicloud (represented with the cloud icon);
- it helps you keeping your system up-to-date by displaying notifications when new updates are available and installing them when you click on the associated option in your web interface;
- it makes it possible to install, update or remove on your Jolicloud in one click from the App Diretory.

Romain Huet replied on January 19, 2010 00:49 to the question "Does jolicloud come with Java?" in Jolicloud:
Hello,
If you install applications depending on Java, you will get the Java runtime at the same time. However, if you need to manually install the Java runtime, below is the command you can enter in a Terminal:
sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre sun-java6-plugin sun-java6-fonts
When the installation begins, you will get a screen which displays the Sun Operating System Distributor License for Java. Press Enter to validate and complete the installation.

Oh, I actually just noticed an update from Get Satisfaction about this issue, and the fix seems to be in progress.
Thanks!
Romain Huet reported a problem in Get Satisfaction on January 14, 2010 13:03:
Notification emails contain HTML markup in plain/textHello,
Since a couple of days, all the notification emails sent by Get Satisfaction only contain the HTML version with a "Content-Type: plain/text" header. Therefore, the HTML markup is visible in all the notifications.
Your emails were previously sent in two versions, text and HTML, both with the correct Content-Type header, which was working fine.
Thanks.
