I have the samew problem here in Spain and that was on signup. I had to add my phone number as 10 digits when Spanish numbers only have 9.

Mobile format in spain is 123 123 123
Landline is 123 123 123

So on signup I had to make my mobile number 0123 123 123 (an extra 0 at the start) in order to complete the process. This will obviously affect any please I pinpoint as well.
