You can also try installing version 0.1.9.1, from Addons.mozilla.com, here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fire...
This is based on the last stable version from the 0.1 branch of the code. It's not going to have as many features as Satyr's version, which is based on the 0.5 branch of the code, but it may be more stable.
Satyr, thanks a lot for doing all this work, and for building an XPI to share with the community!!
I have just updated the official ubiquity-related sites (https://mozillalabs.com/ubiquity/, https://wiki.mozilla.org/Labs/Ubiquity ) to point at 3.6-compatible versions.

Sorry you've had such a frustrating experience.
Can you please tell me where you are trying to download Ubiquity from? (Could you copy the link location and paste it here?)
Also, I think you should know that Ubiquity is experimental software - it's not a supported product, and it's not currently being developed by Mozilla. If despite that you still want to use it anyway, I can try to help you to get it working, but there are no guarantees.
