OK, I found out what caused the error: I was using the ellipsis entity.

Apparently some of the fonts that typekit offers do not have this glyph. Replacing the ellipsis with three colons cleared up my problem.

Bello Caps adds three pixels of padding

In Safari 4.0.4 the display of Bello Caps sometimes adds three pixels of padding to an element's height. Doesn't matter if you add the font via kit settings of CSS.
