EmilyS replied on March 19, 2010 14:53 to the problem "Concert listing needs ammending" in Songkick:
Hey there,
I have removed Lightning Swords of Death from the line-up, but left the event with Immortal on the listing as tickets are currently available through both TicketMaster and Livenation... is that ok?
http://www.songkick.com/concerts/3805...
Just so you know, if you create a Songkick account and log-in you can edit concerts yourself - just click on the 'edit concert' button on the event page!
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks :)
Emily.

EmilyS replied on March 19, 2010 11:38 to the question ""Home" and "Upcoming Events" don't have anything listed" in Songkick:
Hey the reason you're not seeing any events in your calendar is because you haven't actually said 'I'm going' or 'I might go' to many future events! Right now we only sync this, rather than all your tracked items.
So, if you look at your Upcoming events on Songkick:
http://www.songkick.com/calendar
The items that will show on your calendar subscription are those that appear under the 'Your events' tab. Events that appear here are ones where you've actually clicked 'I'm going' or 'I might go...

Other users have requested to have all tracked items show in their calendar subscription though, so that is something that we are bearing in mind. If this is something you'd like, you can let us know right here:
http://getsatisfaction.com/songkick/t...
I hope that all makes sense! Let me know if you have any questions :)
Thanks,
Emily.

EmilyS replied on March 18, 2010 15:33 to the idea "Suggestions: viewing profiles and outputs" in Songkick:
Hey there,
Thanks for the suggestions! Improving the user profile pages is something we'd love to do at some point in the future, so we'll take your ideas on board :) It's not on our product roadmap right now though. But if you have any other ideas jot them down in here and we'll come back to this when we have the time to think about redesign etc.
Allowing users to export their concert data is something that we've been asked about a couple of times in the past so we're keeping that in mind too!

EmilyS replied on March 18, 2010 15:15 to the question "how does songkick know I went to a gig ?" in Songkick:
Hey there,
The only way that a gig can appear in your gigography is if you clicked 'I'm going' before the event, or 'I was there' after the event! Perhaps you accidentally clicked on one of these without realising?
Can I ask which event it is that you're referring to?
The last one on your gigography right now is from back in February:
EmilyS replied on March 18, 2010 14:43 to the question ""Home" and "Upcoming Events" don't have anything listed" in Songkick:
Hey there,
Sorry to hear you're finding it confusing! When you first sign up, it can take a little while for items to show in your Recent Activity on Home - have things started to appear now? Just to explain, this is where we show you recent activity for the things you're tracking so recently announced shows, new media that's been added, comments on things etc.
Your Upcoming Events will show upcoming concerts/festivals for your tracked artists in your tracked metro area(s). So it could be the case that nothing's showing because you there are no upcoming shows right now in your area for your artists - but let me know if you don't think this is the case!!
Your Tracker is the place where you can decide what items you want to track, the events themselves don't show up here, but if an artist is on tour it'll have a pink ribbon around it and a link to click through to their upcoming events. e.g.:

Hope that all makes sense - let me know if you still think something's not working right!
Thanks,
Emily.

EmilyS replied on March 16, 2010 18:34 to the question "We can't add tickets any more?" in Songkick:
Hey,
Sorry but we've had to remove that option because we were concerned about touts adding fake ticket links. This is something we've already seen some fake vendors do and we don't want to risk anyone buying a false ticket through our site! So now you can send the link through to support@songkick.com and we'll add/edit it for you.
In the future we hope to give trusted users like yourself a bit more control over this kind of thing so we'll keep you up to date on that.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Cheers,
Emily.
EmilyS replied on March 16, 2010 18:24 to the question "How do I make my facebook profile wall show the songs I love?" in Songkick:
Hey Matthew,
That sounds like something related to a different website - Songkick is all about live music events, not recorded music! With us, you can track your favourite artists and then we let you know when they're coming to play in your area.
If you want to share with your friends what gigs you're going to though, you can post this to your Facebook wall by clicking on the 'Share on Facebook' button which you'll see on concert and festival pages!

Let me know if you have any questions about Songkick :)
Thanks,
Emily.

EmilyS replied on March 15, 2010 14:26 to the question "Integration of gig-adding wizards from MySpace, Facebook, and SK?" in Songkick:
Hey,
Well you can kind of do this through ArtistData (http://www.artistdata.com/us/) as that updates to both MySpace and Facebook, and we get events from them on a daily basis too :)
EmilyS replied on March 15, 2010 13:04 to the question "How do I change my location?" in Songkick:
Hey Guy,
When you sign up via Facebook we automatically set your location by your IP address, it's possible it might have picked up the address of your provider rather than where you're actually located. That sometimes happens. If you let me know your IP address we can check for you?
You can change your location settings by going to the 'Metro area' tab on your Tracker, just click on the 'Stop tracking' button next to Brussels to stop tracking that:

Then use the search on the right-hand side to look for Luxembourg as an area to track:

You can track as many areas as you like!
There's also a link to this on your 'Home' page/dashboard:

Can I ask where you would expect the change location option to be? That'll help us with improvements to make sure this doesn't continue to confuse people!
Thanks,
Emily.
EmilyS replied on March 15, 2010 11:41 to the question "Where can I find the lineup for Nashville Blues festival" in Songkick:
Hey there,
I've just added the lineup to the Nashville Blues festival page for you:

(the source for this info is the Municipal Auditorium website - http://www.nashvilleauditorium.com/)
Hope that helps!

EmilyS replied on March 15, 2010 11:34 to the problem "Poor coverage of upcoming concerts for Seoul" in Songkick:
Hey there,
Thanks for getting in touch, sorry that you're disappointed with this. Improving our listings across the world is something that we're always working hard at! It's great to get local insight from users like yourself on this kind of thing though - where do you usually buy your concert tickets from?
If you know of any ticket websites for Seoul concerts, let us know, as that would be great in helping us to improve coverage in your area :)
Thanks,
Emily.

EmilyS replied on March 12, 2010 14:49 to the question "top 50 artists importing via last.fm sometimes spells them wrong" in Songkick:
Hey there,
Yes, this is more of an isolated issue whereby we had two entries for the band: "Korn" and "KoЯn".
Because Last.fm have it listed with the backwards R, and we had an existing listing with it spelt that way, it matched it with that instead of our main Korn page (http://www.songkick.com/artists/20297....
I'm not sure there's anything we can do about that right now as it's a case of their data not exactly matching ours - but in 99% of other cases it usually matches fine!
Thanks for flagging it up though, and make sure you track the other Korn one now :)
Let me know if you have any questions.

EmilyS replied on March 12, 2010 14:28 to the question "Songkick application for Mac not working" in Songkick:
m - sorry but there's not a way around this right now - apologies for that, we'll see if it's affecting many other users before we decide whether to make it compatible with powerpc.
You can add artists to your Tracker manually though:

Or, if you use Last.fm you can do an import of your top50 listened to artists from there? That's on your Tracker, on the right-hand side.
Let me know if you have any other questions at all.
Emily.
