This version is exactly the same as S40_3rd.
For this tutorial we assume you have a working internet connection set up on your phone. You can check if you do by going to a website like www.soocial .com on your phone’s browser. If you do not have internet set up, please contact you mobile provider.
1. In the home screen hit “Menu”
2. Select “Settings”
3. Select “Configuration”
4. Select “Personal config. Sett.
5.a If you see (empty) Click “Add” and go to step 6. OR otherwise go to step 5.b
5b. Select “Options”
5c.
6. Select “Synchronisation”
7 Select “Account name”
8. Give the settings a name like “Soocial Sync Settings”
9. Select “Server address”
10. Server address: "http://sync.soocial.com"
11. Select “User name”
12. Enter your Soocial User name (e-mail) and Press “OK”
13. Select “Password”
14. Enter your Soocial password and press OK
15. Enter your password again and press OK
16. Select “Contacts database”
17. Select “Database address”
18. Enter the Contacts database addres: ./contacts Then hit Back twice.
19. Click “Options”
20. Select “Activate” and hit “Back” twice.
21. Select “Sync and Backup”
22. Select “Data transfer”
23. Select “Options”
24. Select “Edit”
25. Select “Sync Settings”
26. Select “Configuration”
27. Select “Personal config.”
28. Press “Back”
29. Select “Synchronsed data”
30. Mark “Contacts” and press “Done”
31. “Save changes?” press “Yes”
32. Press "Done"
33. Select “Server sync”
34. “Synchronise data with Personal config. Soocial Sync Settings” press “yes”
The sync will start now. It might take a while for the sync to finish. When the sync is done, the phone will tell you what the results were.

really sorry to hear that this did not work for you out of the box. We never said that Soocial was fully developed. We are still in the Beta stage.
From most user feedback we know that the Gmail sync works great.(with some limitations of Googles poor implementation of the Address field for contacts.)
The Outlook client is buggy, but we state that clearly on the Outlook client download page. We are working on a new version of the client.
Since we are still in Beta we would love some feedback on what happened when so we can look at the logs and get the bugs out.
Our experience is that we do not lose contacts. So if that seemed to happen for you it is quite serious and we need to investigate. Please send you user name to our support mailbox: support at soocial dot com. -

Notice that most SE phones want a slash in the url:
1. Server: http://sync.soocial.com/
2. Username: your Soocial username
3. Password: your Soocial password
4. Port: 80
5. Set to include contacts synchronization

That is a problem. If I remember right. The Outlook express Address Book could actually read most of it if you would drop the VCF on it. But I would have to find that info. Don't have time to do that now. OR you might find some VCF to CSV converter software..... -

the Pocket PC software by MS is run on pcoket PC's ;-) They are not really phones. They are quite outdated. HP and Dell used to make some models.
We didn't even know that it would actually install and run on a Smart Phone.
