Probably you just ran into the temporary posting bug that I wrote about in another thread here/on Twitter – that's fixed now.

Unfortunately, that totally depends on the Flash player of each particular video service and how it's configured. We try as best as we can to filter out "autoplay" and "autostart" attributes, but sometimes there's just nothing we can do.
In these cases, you should check to see whether the embed can be configured to not autoplay on the site you got it from or in the source code. Sometimes this won't be possible – then you should probably post the video as a link instead.

We don't provide name servers. You need to have your own and set a so-called "CNAME record" on them pointing to soup.io.

Often your registrar and/or ISP will provide name servers for you, check whether you can customize them ("Advanced DNS settings" or something like that) to create that record. Otherwise there are also some free name servers to be found on the web, but I can't recommend any particular ones, you'll have to do some research.

Hi, sorry you had to wait so long for a reply -- right now, I'm the only person working on Soup full time, but this will change soon.

I believe posting by email is up again. It was just delayed very much as the database server was massively overwhelmed during the last days. Now that we've upgraded the hardware, posts by email seem to be arriving again.

Can you confirm that it works again now?

I think you need to disable and then re-enable Facebook export: On your Soup in the options panel (cog wheel icon) and the "Automatic export" section, uncheck the "Auto-post to Facebook" box and then check it again. A popup from Facebook should appear asking for permission.
