Integrate Achievements into Steam
The current SH achievements should also be Steam achievements. Not only would you get the instant overlay notification of achievements, but the bigger reason you want to do this is exposure of the game to all my steam friends. ;)
The steam profile 'blotter' lets you see what all of your friends are up to and what achievements they are getting. If you integrate your achievements with the Steamworks achievement system - you will get additional exposure to the overall Steam community every time a player gets a SH achievement (all of their friends will see it).
Plus it will just be more convenient to look at other friends achievements, and see the global achievement stats, etc.

Inappropriate?They already said they'll do it, so it's definitely coming. Matter of when.
Cyclops achievement is annoying btw lol. I think I'm going to "idle" for it for a round...
Oh, and "strafing run" is really hard too - 3 people with 1 clip, detached. Reloading would probably put you over 10 seconds... -

How about some more long-term achievements?
I've just played the free weekend thus far and have over half of the achievements already. I'd like it so we constantly have something to shoot for even if its some insane achievement. Also more team-oriented achievements (TF2 comes to mind).

I noticed on the stats site that there were other versions of the achievements several months ago when the wiki was first going up:
Bronze (What we have now)
Silver
Gold
These are direct links to the official stats site, I did not make these. So maybe there are going to include these into the game eventually. Makes it a touch more long-term but most people again would have them once it's implemented.
I do agree a bit more teambased events would be nice for achievements such as 'Cap a point with 3 other players' and the like. -
