None of Flock's features are working
No services are working. I am running the latest version of 2.0 Flock on the most updated version of Mac 10.5x. It's not just that my accounts information and login for the people and accounts sidebar are gone, but it doesn't even give me the option to add an account anymore. Looks like this:

Also, when I try to activate the blog editor and photo uploader nothing happens. My feeds are all gone as well. Although all my bookmarks are in tact, I'm not able to add another through the star button anymore.
I've tried running flock in safe mode to detect if it was due to an extension, but it didn't change anything. I've also tried deleting the previous flock installation, and reinstall it, but that also didn't fix it. I can't really remember if something had changed recently that would have affected it, but I remember the star button wasn't working for a good week before. Anything I can do? Making another profile wouldn't be totally awful, but it would be nice if I didn't have to do that. Thank you.

Inappropriate?I would like to figure out the problem that you are experiencing. Could you send me your profile?
On Mac the profile folder is in a folder named "Flock," and you'll find it on this path:
(your home folder)>Library>Application Support>Flock
Please compress(zip) this folder (after closing Flock) and upload it at http://www.yousendit.com to performance@flock.com

Inappropriate?I am experiencing the exact same problem, only I'm on Windows XP. I've already compressed my Flock preferences folder and sent it to performance@flock.com. Attached is a screenshot of what I see if I try to pull up the People services and Media Streams windows.
I’m disappointed, but still hopeful for a fix.

This was the response I received from Bruno at Flock and the solution worked, although the problem keeps repeating itself every few weeks or so. I don't know what's going on to corrupt my file. Either way, doing the below fixes the problem each time, but I also have to setup all of my accounts each time:
Thank you for sending us your profile. I did some investigation and I am sorry to let you know that the database got corrupted. You will have to delete flock-data.sqlite from your profile directory (under XP it's in C:\Documents and Settings\[your login profile name]\Application Data\Flock\Browser\Profiles\xxxxxxx.default.
Start Flock and you will be able to add accounts. You can also re-import your favorites (if you were using another browser before Flock) in File/Import...

Inappropriate?Did you ever get this fixed? I have the same problem. Everything has disappeared.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate? These problems sound like a database corruption problem, as detailed by Bruno here: http://getsatisfaction.com/flock/topi...
Follow his steps and you should have a working Flock again. -
Those files no longer exist...no clue why they disappeared. Also, now when I open Flock, there's no icon in the web address box that allows me to easily subscribe to a site's RSS feed. -
Chris: When Flock installs, there is the main application folder where the application information is stored, but there is also a separate profile folder for your favorites, settings, extensions, etc. The .sqlite file to delete is located in your profile. Find your Flock profile here: http://flock.com/faq/show/64#q_387 -
Inappropriate?Hi, I had to rename to oldflock-data.sqlite twice, and still it's happened again. Now the back button won't work and none of my favorites show even though they are there. when I tried going to the flock website, the server times out. What to do?
I’m very sad

Inappropriate?Confirmed problem in Linux (Fedora 10 i386). Could have something to do with Firefox upgrade a few days ago?

Inappropriate?Confirmed problem in Linux (Fedora 10 i386). Fixed by rename of flock-data.sqlite.
I’m thankful
-
Inappropriate?I'm not renaming any of my files, thank you, because I shouldn't have to rename things to get Flock to work the way it used to. Everything, all my settings, everything is gone.
I’m done.

Evan said to me in his last office hours session that the developers had solved this in the new version due this or next month. -
Inappropriate?Yes, several SQLite corruption bugs are fixed in the upcoming version of Flock. So these issues should be a thing of the past after that!
-
Inappropriate? Is there a fix for recovering the feeds?
-
Inappropriate? Is there a scheduled release date for when the new version of flock?
-
Inappropriate?I am wondering the same. I am facing this problem right now. Can ́t believe the last company update shown is four months.
I’m confused

Inappropriate?i have this problem now...not sure i want to delete that file and have to start all over...will that mean i have to set up my favorites and everything all over again? frustrating. i'm hoping there's another fix since the last update here was 9 months ago...

Renaming the flock-data.sqlite file will not remove your bookmarks. It will only make you re-login to sites which offer special integrations with Flock (eg. Flickr, Gmail, Wordpress, etc).
I just did this, renaming my flock-data.sqlite file before starting Flock, and I still have my bookmarks, RSS feeds, and browser history (I have Flock home page set to "Show my windows and tabs from last time" and Flock opened right where I left off).
If renaming the file does not solve the problem, please create a new thread. The previous posts are over 9 months old, and the particular problem many of these people were experiencing should have been fixed in a previous release. -
