Why are Amazon books and Google Finance suddenly on my digest page?
Hi, Amazon books and Google Finance just appeared on my Feedly digest page. I DON'T want them there. How do I get rid of them?

Update: we just pushed out 2.x.184. It includes the fix to this problem.
Note: you can configure and remove the Google Finance module but the amazon module is our way to keep the service free of charge to the users to that module is not configurable. We are looking at ways to allow users who are really annoyed by the amazon content to opt-out by upgrading to a feedly+ service level. More about this in march (sorry for the inconvenience)

Inappropriate? No I am NOT following it on my dashboard. And furthermore, my dashboard has also disappeared. Is there some bug in Feedly? I don't like things getting slipped onto my page without my consent - Please Feedly, I love your service, please don't go Facebook on us.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Hi cammiedoty. The finance and amazon modules should be controllable by a knob in the preferences page. If you are seeing a different behavior, then it is a bug (we are not trying to force people). Will open a bug so that we can look at this as part of the bugathon we are organizing next week. Will keep you posted.

Hello and thanks for your response. But there is no such knob on the preferences page, so perhaps you should consider it a bug. Also, the change occurred at the same time the dashboard was removed, so obviously Feedly has been engaged in some reformatting. It's always a good idea to inform your users about such changes. -
Inappropriate?cammie. I confirm that the changes you are seeing regarding the Amazon and Finance modules are bugs. You should be able to control them in the preferences. They will be fixed in the patch we will push out on Monday.
The dashboard change is on the other side something we have changed on purpose. It is being discussed here: http://getsatisfaction.com/feedly/top...
We will have a post out in a couple of weeks about the changes we are making for feedly 3.0. We need to collect more feedback before we know if those changes are final for not. Thank you for the valuable feedback. -

Thanks for your thorough follow-up and answer. I really appreciate that! But I would like to suggest that you post an explanation before you make changes, whatever the reason. Thanks again for running such a responsive support system for a free service. -
Inappropriate?I was really happy to get this extension, but then I realized there are ads...This is the reason I am going to stop using feedly, there are plenty of rss programs out there... You pay your internet bill, you shouldn't have to be forced to see stupid Amazon ads...This should say a little about the organization that cares more about ad revenue than user experience, eff feedly seriously.
I’m sick of ads

i3l1nd3d sorry. the amazon widget was the least annoying solution we have found to pay for part of the infrastructure cost. We will have a feedly+ offering later this year for people who prepare that. If you have other solutions, please let us know and we will be happy to consider them. Have a good week end. -
Feedly is an amazing free service, and I'm more than happy to have this little ads supporting it. Why do people think everything should be free? It's ridiculous! "You pay your Internet bill" to get Internet access, not to support great services like Feedly. Sheesh, whiners! -
Thanks for your support Pam. Have a great week end! -
Inappropriate?Hey initially I was really put off by the ads, until ... I was reading feeds in my various categories and saw a really interesting related book in one of the categories. Read all about it on Amazon and then ordered it from the library! Who knows I might buy it one day (or not) but meanwhile at least the ad did serve as a source of information, so seldom is that the case.
I’m ok with the ads after all

Inappropriate?I like having google fInance info show up on my page BUT for some reason most of them give me " Yahoo! Finance: RSS feed not found Yahoo! Finance: RSS feed not found • 95 days ago". Yet when I click the link it takes me to the correct page in Google Finance and shows me an RSS link on that page which works. What's up with the Yahoo Finance error msg?

@dmeslinger : sorry about that. could you please share with us a couple of sample stock symbols which generate this kind of errors and we will try to replicate and fix the issue.
