Can't Publish to MobileMe or iWeb since Apple discontinued .Mac
I have not been able to publish to MobileMe or iWeb since Apple discontinued .Mac. If I choose publish to MobileMe, it seems to work but when I click "Visit Site" I get a Not Found message. If I try to publish to iWeb, nothing happens at all. I have reported this problem previously and have never gotten a response. I also check the community from time to time and upgraded to each new version as it became available. Right now I have version 2.3. I even backed up my library, removed the entire program, reinstalled and restored the library. Same thing happens. I am currently using OS X 10.6.1.
This is really driving me crazy! Can somebody please work with me to get this solved? Thanks in advance.

Inappropriate?dndgirl- This feature should still be working even with MobileMe. Do you already have a page created in iWeb? Try creating blank page, and then publishing to the application.
-
Inappropriate?Still doesn't work. I did exactly that. When I click publish to iWeb the little publishing window opens, I get the error beep and then the window closes.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Running 2.3.3 beta 3 (v11679) on 10.6.2.
Hmm. Judging from this and another thread, I expected horrible, flaming death when I clicked on the grey Publish button, but it configured as it should, then quietly published to .mac, surprisingly quickly.
So...can anyone else confirm 2.3.3 beta 3 (v11679) (say that 15 times fast) is working okay for them?
I think part of it is because I'm an olde-tyme iTools user.
Have you tried the beta? -
Inappropriate?dndgirl- Let us know if the newest beta fixes the issue or not, so we can do some more digging for this bug if it's not fixed...
-
Inappropriate?Upgraded to beta 4., As before, when I try to publish to MobileMe, it seems to work but when I click on visit published site, I get the Not Found page. FYI, the URL I am sent to is http://homepage.mac.com/dndgirl/delic.... Attempting to publish to iWeb still gives me the error beep.
I’m still frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Same here.
-
Inappropriate?dndgirl- What do you see when you go into your iDisk folder>Sites? Is there no sign of a Delicious Library folder in there?
-
Inappropriate? The Delicious Library folder is there. (iDisk/Sites/deliciouslibrary) In it are: animator.js, DeliciousLibrary2ControlFile.deliciousShareControl, DeliciousLibrary2Dump.deliciousShare, library.js, prototype.js, style.css, and two folders called Images (empty) and iphone, which contains the same four files as the deliciouslibrary folder.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?@Jessie: The problem is not that DL2 wouldn't publish. It does. The folders are there. The problem is that "Visit published site" does not work, and I do not know the URL to the iDisk folders.
I’m sad
-
Inappropriate?@Jessie:
Username / Sites / deliciouslibrary
I can't find an "Index" page, though.
I’m indifferent
-
Inappropriate?I have the same problem. Use iWeb '09 3.0.1 (9B33).
Created a website then published using my mobileme account.
When I select the visit site I get Not Found error. -
Inappropriate?Since I republished to MobileMe using version 2.3.3, the File/Visit Published Site item works fine, as does the Publish/Visit Site button at the bottom of the main window.
I’m happy.
-
Inappropriate?Gero and faaiez- Have you had the same progress as Dave Marsh, or are you still experiencing issues with publishing to MobileMe?
-
Inappropriate? If there wasn't an update to DL, then no. I have stopped using it. It's wasting my time.
-
Inappropriate?OK-- for everyone this is still broken for, do you have case #s with us (have you sent email to support@delicious-monster.com)?
-
Inappropriate?I have used the feature to email crashlogs three times before asking this board, and I have three case #s from bugs@delicios-monster.com:
Case xxx785 from 11/27/2009
Case xxx189 from 11/10/2009 and
Case xxx188 from 11/10/2009
All cases' status is "open".
(I x-ed the numbers because I don't want to share personal data.) -
Inappropriate?Hey, I've had this problem too where uploading to MobileMe or to an FTP site had the same effect. On MobileMe it stated it was not found and on my FTP site it just listed all the files that dndgirl lists above.
However, after a little investigation into the publishing setup options, I changed an option, smacked my head and it works fine!
Cause: you have tried to upload selected shelves but have not realised that the selection for those shelves are hidden behind the button! So when you try to upload your site, Delicious Library uploads nothing but a few background files!
Solution: go to File, Publishing Setup and click on MobileMe. Then click on Selected Shelves until the menu appears (you may need to click twice if it's not already chosen as an option). Then select your shelves and publish!
Request 1: please make it so that either (a) the program gives a warning if you have no data selected but try to publish, or (b) the program uploads a standard look-and-feel with no data included.
Request 2: please make it easier to understand that we actually need to click Selected Shelves again to view the menu (it's an options menu with hidden settings!) so that this occurs less.
Thanks!
I’m confident

Hmmm, sounds promising. I'm at work now but I'll try this when I get home. -
Inappropriate? Thanks for the idea, but nope, it still does not work. I have shelves selected. App crashes. And I am going to swipe it from my drive during spring cleaning time.
I’m really, really angry about this issue.
-
Inappropriate?Jarada! Thank you so very, very much! You solved my problem after so many months. I was beginning to think I would never see my library on the web again.
(virtual hugs!)
I’m thankful and excited
-
Inappropriate?Gero- my apologies for this issue. It's something that only some people have been having issues with (it works fine for others, and us, actually), so it's been very difficult for us to pinpoint exactly what is going on.
-
Inappropriate?Hmm - maybe you can check if those people still having issues are international customers? I'm German.
-
Inappropriate?Did this get solved? Jarada's info helped, my iWeb publish now works, but if I pick MobileMe instead, the application crashes.
-
Inappropriate?FWIW I just tried this again, and instead of using the "Publish now" button inside the Publishing Setup window, exited that window and then chose publish out of the File menu instead, and it didn't crash! now it is on the site. Not sure if that helps or not. I did send in the crash report.
I’m happy
-
Inappropriate? You have to rename musik.html inside the delicious library folder on your iDisk to index.html. Than the „Visit site“-command works. I ́m using the german DL version (http://homepage.mac.com/yourusername/....

Inappropriate?I had the same problem when trying to publish to MobileMe. The problem was caused because I had selected "Publish everything" in the "Publishing setup" menu. When I changed to "Selected shelves" following jarada's suggestion the catalog was finally published to MobileMe and I can now access it normally through http://homepage.mac.com/username/deli...
I’m thankful
